Rome Empower Program
University of St. Thomas • Fall '22
It was always my dream to study abroad, so it's incredible to be able to say that I lived at the University of St. Thomas Bernardi Campus in Rome, Italy for the fall 2022 semester! While in Rome, I studied second-level Italian language, Roman art and archaeology, Christology through the history of Christianity in Rome, and the historical origins of the modern world.
As an Entrepreneurship student, I especially appreciated the chance to live and learn in a city with such a rich history of innovation and creativity. Now that I'm home in Minnesota, I'm excited to use what I learned and experienced in Italy throughout my life (already making good use of my Bialetti coffee pot!).

Entrepreneurial Studies
In May 2024 I earned by BS from the University of St. Thomas Schulze School of Entrepreneurship, with minors in Sustainability and Art History. My favorite classes were all within the Entrepreneurship department. I especially enjoyed learning about the Human Centered Design process and working through it from the early stages of empathy interviews to prototype iteration testing. Overall, I'm most interested in creating companies that are socially and environmentally responsible from conception, delivering products that intuitively address users' needs.

Associate of Arts Degree
In 2021, I earned my Associate of Arts degree from Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC). All of my credits were earned as a concurrently enrolled high school student. Earning a college degree was an ambitious goal for a high school student, but I knew I wanted to push myself and take advantage of the program. Some of my favorite classes at ARCC were Sustainability, where I researched the ways consumers and corporations can combat the pitfalls of fast fashion, and Marketing, where I practiced market segmentation and worked with a team to develop a marketing plan.
